This could be your school

Many schools have a long history of charitable giving and generously support a range of causes. However with an estimated 78% of funds raised in Suffolk leaving the county to support large national and international charities, there is a desire to focus on more local giving.

Education is one of our key charitable objectives. We recognise the importance of encouraging young people to show an interest in the communities in which they live.

Working in partnership with key schools in Suffolk, we aim to support young people to direct a proportion of their time and generosity to support local charities and community groups, addressing local need.

Our Hidden Need’s in Suffolk Report helps to identify where those local needs are.

Every relationship we build with a school is different, and tailored to their individual needs and ambitions.

Ways in which we can help you

• We are happy to attend assemblies or other gatherings to ‘shine a light’ on the work of local charities and community groups

• Support your pupils, teachers or ‘Charity Committee’ in selecting the right projects for you

• Enhance the relationship between you and the charity in a way that will educate and inspire your young people.

• We will also support any fundraising and PR activity that you may wish to undertake, to ensure the impact of your giving is communicated to your students, parents, and other key stakeholders in the wider community.

We would welcome the opportunity to understand more about how we can help your school to give back to people in need in Suffolk.
