The New Year has brought with it freezing temperatures across the UK. For some of Suffolk's vulnerable older people, the cold days and long evenings make staying warm and connected a challenge.

As well as providing support for heating homes, our Surviving Winter campaign invites charities to apply for up to £5,000 in funding for practical projects which support older people (60+) throughout the winter.

Your donation can help make a difference.

For more information and how to donate, please visit our website: www.suffolkcf.org.uk

You can also donate in person at any branch of @suffolkbuildingsociety

Thank you in advance for your support.

Just before Christmas, Nicki dropped off a Christmas hamper to Bildeston Community Support. All staff at Suffolk Community Foundation contributed to the hamper, which contained lots of festive treats as well as important staples.

Bildeston Community Support was set up to provide a safety net to deliver care by the community, through the community, to the community. The food bank supplies local families with dried and tinned staples as well as cleaning and hygiene products, fruit and vegetables. In addition, Bildeston Community Support offers support with household appliances, school uniforms, transport and repairs and gardening.

Thank you for everything you do.

Thank you Mark at @suffolk_sound for all your support this year. Last week, Danielle, our Director of Grants & Impact, took to the airwaves to encourage local giving this winter – especially in light of the challenges Suffolk charities are facing.

As always, it was a pleasure to speak to Mark on his Community Hour show, thank you for the opportunity.💜

Last week's Suffolk Together at Christmas, HRH The Princess of Wales' Carol Service for the East of England at @stedscath was a very special evening, giving us the opportunity to thank and celebrate Suffolk's voluntary sector.

We would like to thank all those who performed so beautifully during the service, from the children who read the charity case studies and Charlie Haylock for reading his Christmas poem, to the wonderful choir, the Lowestoft Longshoremen and the @soulsanctuarygospelchoir for their glorious singing.

What an evening to remember! ✨
