Brief Description
This funding has been made available in memory of Edward and Ivy Rose Hood.
The aim of the fund is to support charitable and community activities as follows:
- Services aimed at supporting and improving local peoples’ lives and life chances (Lowestoft & Waveney)
and
- Supporting community organisations and small scale green initiatives that benefit the environment, build community resilience and promote the health and wellbeing of communities through nature based projects. (Anywhere in Suffolk)

Criteria
The objectives of the fund:
To support charitable and community activities as follows:
- Services aimed at supporting and improving local peoples’ lives and life chances Lowestoft & Waveney
- Supporting community organisations and small scale green initiatives that benefit the environment, build community resilience and promote the health and wellbeing of communities through nature-based projects anywhere in Suffolk.
Who can apply?
- Charitable and Voluntary groups
- Faith and Community groups
- Social enterprises that are addressing need within Suffolk
What can be funded:
- New innovative projects
- Existing projects
- Core costs, project costs and reasonable capital costs (if an essential element of a project)
- Core costs and organisational overheads
- Full cost recovery
Timetable:
- 22 July – 2 September for submission of expressions of interest, with decisions expected by the end of November 2026.
