We are delighted to announce that a new fund has been established to support initiatives that improve local people’s lives and life chances in Lowestoft & Waveney.  The fund is set up in memory of Edward and Ivy Rose Hood, a couple who lived in Lowestoft and who believed that everyone should be given a fair opportunity to overcome challenges and succeed in life.

The aim of the fund is to support charitable and community services which work to improve peoples’ lives in the area as well as supporting small scale green initiatives that benefit the environment, build community resilience and promote the health and wellbeing of communities through nature-based projects in Lowestoft & Waveney.

The fund will open for Expressions of Interest of 22 July, with shortlisting at the beginning of October.  Final decisions are expected by the beginning of December.
