Brief Description

Grants towards equipment that will improve physical and mental health in Suffolk.

Criteria

The Fonnereau Road Health Foundation Fund supports organisations which are improving the physical and/or mental health and wellbeing of people in Suffolk.

It does this by providing grants primarily for:

  • Medical equipment or capital costs related to improving physical and/or mental health and wellbeing (but excluding building works, items such as outdoor gym or playground equipment; fitness classes, sporting or gardening equipment etc.)
  • Expenditure which is not part of the organisation’s normal overheads or running costs such as staff salaries, rent or office costs.

If you would like to check if your project meets the fund’s criteria it is advisable to speak with a Grants Officer before applying on 01473 602602.

The fund will support charities, community and voluntary groups as well as social enterprises.  All applying organisations must be based in and supporting those from Suffolk.

Grants of £2,000–£5,000 are available, with a preference to fund the full cost of a specific, itemised piece of equipment. Larger grants may be considered for the outright purchase of equipment, but applicants should contact a grants officer to discuss before requesting more than £5,000.

Applicants are advised that you cannot reapply to this fund in consecutive years and again contact should be made prior to submitting a subsequent application.

Exclusions

The exclusions are the same as those for the Foundation generally. Please read our grantmaking guidelines here to check your eligibility prior to applying to this fund.
