Connecting causes that matter with people who care
We provide grants to help charities and community organisations who are supporting local people facing disadvantage, to improve their lives.
We do this by working with individuals, families, businesses, professional advisors, and charitable trusts, helping them to fund local groups that are tackling the issues they care about most.

Partnering with the VCFSE sector demonstrates that the will in Suffolk to provide support remains undiminished.

Last week, Jess had the pleasure of attending Disability Advice East Suffolk’s (DAS) 40th birthday celebration.
@daseastsuffolk has been a lifeline for disabled people, their families, and carers for four decades — offering free, independent advice on everything from welfare benefits and appeals to energy relief, housing adaptations, and crisis support. In 2024 alone, they helped an incredible 2,316 people.
The celebration was a look back at DAS’s achievements over the years and a glimpse into their future plans. Jenny Riddell-Carpenter, MP for Suffolk Coastal, also joined the event and pledged her support for the launch of the new Disability Advice Training Service — a fantastic initiative to help employers and organisations improve the way they support employees with disabilities.

Today is the International Day of Charity.
Today we come together to celebrate the spirit of giving. The International Day of Charity reminds us that even the smallest act of kindness can create ripples of change.
At Suffolk Community Foundation, we know that supporting local charities is especially powerful as:
💜 They understand the unique challenges in our communities
💜 They provide direct support to people living closest to us
💜 Every contribution, big or small, has a visible impact right where we live.
We wish to thank all those working tirelessly to help the most vulnerable in our communities, and all those who give so generously.
Together, we can make a difference.
