Connecting causes that matter with people who care
We provide grants to help charities and community organisations who are supporting local people facing disadvantage, to improve their lives.
We do this by working with individuals, families, businesses, professional advisors, and charitable trusts, helping them to fund local groups that are tackling the issues they care about most.

What we do

Our work is set against the current backdrop of rising levels of need in Suffolk, with an estimated 75,000 now living in poverty.
Partnering with the VCFSE sector demonstrates that the will in Suffolk to provide support remains undiminished.

Today is the International Day of Charity.
Today we come together to celebrate the spirit of giving. The International Day of Charity reminds us that even the smallest act of kindness can create ripples of change.
At Suffolk Community Foundation, we know that supporting local charities is especially powerful as:
💜 They understand the unique challenges in our communities
💜 They provide direct support to people living closest to us
💜 Every contribution, big or small, has a visible impact right where we live.
We wish to thank all those working tirelessly to help the most vulnerable in our communities, and all those who give so generously.
Together, we can make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who attended our professional advisers’ event this morning at @seckfordhallhotel. Despite a wet and windy start to the day, we were delighted to welcome over 60 people to our networking event at this beautiful venue.
Once seated with a delicious breakfast, Hannah Bloom, CEO, welcomed everyone with a short speech highlighting the work of Suffolk Community Foundation (SCF) against the backdrop of local needs. We then enjoyed a sofa discussion, chaired by Fran Wright, our Philanthropy Manager. Fran was joined by Henry Gaskin, Managing Director of SG Wealth Management, LLC, Ben Skinner, Sales Director of the family-owned @skinnersfieldandtrial and fundholder with SCF, and Nicola Weldon, Partner and Head of Private Client team at Ellisons.
The fascinating talk provided an insight into a long-term family fund and the motivation behind setting it up. The speakers also talked about the benefits of life-time charitable giving, as well as the positive impact leaving a legacy to support charities close to home can have on your local community.
We then enjoyed time to network and play a few old fashioned garden games (inside!)
We would like to thank SG Wealth for their generosity in sponsoring this event and to the team at Seckford Hall for looking after us so well.
If you are a professional adviser who would like to be invited to our future events, or a local business owner who is interested to understand more about how you can work with us, please contact Fran Wright.
