Over the past ten years, the Arts & Culture Fund has awarded £118,000 across 77 grants, each and every one sparking creativity and connection in communities across the county. With applications set to reopen in early 2026, the Fund remains a vital resource for local initiatives that champion artistic expression and inclusion.

From intimate musical theatre workshops engaging 23 children in storytelling and performance, to an expansive county-wide programme for the visually impaired which transformed the lives of 500 young participants, the Arts & Culture Fund has proven its power to uplift and inspire. Including the 11 new awards granted this year, the fund is projected to have reached an estimated 39,000 individuals since its inception in 2015.

What began as a visionary idea from Judith Shallow DL, who approached Suffolk Community Foundation with the concept during her High Sheriff year (2015/16), quickly gained momentum with two fundraising events, one of which raised £105,000 (please click here for details).

Over the past decade, the Fund has clearly shown the value of empowering people through the arts. To mark this milestone, we are planning a celebration — and we would like your input. What kind of event would be meaningful, practical, and engaging? Whether it’s a performance, exhibition, or something else, we are open to ideas.
