Apply for grants
We are aware of an issue that is currently affecting links to grant monitoring forms and, in some cases, application forms. We will be emailing new links to all affected applicants and grant-holders this week. Thank you for your patience and we apologise for any inconvenience caused
Updated Application Process
We have recently improved our application process and updated our Guidelines page to make applying easier.
About Our Funds
We manage a range of named funds listed on our website, as well as over 100 small donor funds that are not publicly listed. Most small funds award only 2–3 grants each year averaging around £2,000 each.
If your project fits the criteria of an open, named fund, you can apply to it directly through our website. We consider applications for core costs, project costs, and, in some cases, equipment under £5,000. Most grants range from £2,000 – £5,000 – some funds may offer more, some less.
If no suitable named fund is open, you can access our small donor funds and the Suffolk Giving Fund through our Central Fund, which is accessible year‑round. We will take your application to an appropriate small donor fund where possible, subject to timing and availability, or consider taking it to the Suffolk Giving Fund, a rolling programme which awards grants four times a year. We may on occasion take your application to multiple funds to try to maximise the amount secured.
Please note:
- Submitting multiple applications at the same time through the General Application Form means they will compete against each other—so we recommend prioritising your strongest application.
- If you already hold a Suffolk Giving Fund grant, contact us before applying again, as only one grant can be awarded per organisation within a 12‑month period.
- You may apply for and receive grants from multiple funds within the year, but only one grant can be awarded per fund per year.
- If no suitable fund is available at the time of your application, we may have to decline your application.
- Most of our funds are heavily oversubscribed, and our fundholders will prioritise applications in line with their specific criteria. As a result, some strong applications may still be declined.
If you cannot find what you are looking for or need help in deciding where to apply, please contact us on T. 01473 602602 or at [email protected].
