What
we do

Connecting causes that matter with people who care

We provide grants to help charities and community organisations who are supporting local people facing disadvantage, to improve their lives.

We do this by working with individuals, families, businesses, professional advisors, and charitable trusts, helping them to fund local groups that are tackling the issues they care about most.

Our impact last year

We work with around 1,000 donors who range from individuals, companies and community groups to charitable trusts and the public sector. Our collective efforts are creating positive change across Suffolk.

Since 2005, we have awarded
10,900 grants totalling £43m
across 3,346 local charities and community groups

Having a fund with Suffolk Community Foundation connects me with so many wonderful local charities that I wouldn’t otherwise be aware of.

2025 is our 20th anniversary.

To mark this special milestone, we have created a new fund to support organisations working with 16-25 year olds, helping to address poor mental health, access to education, housing and employment. We have specifically chosen this age group as they have grown up at the same time as the Foundation.

This group of young people are the future of Suffolk. Please help us if you can
