Papworth Trust – Case Study

Papworth Trust is a leading disability charity, offering a range of high quality services from care, to housing and employment opportunities.

Before the pandemic, their Foundation Street Day Service provided face to face activities for adults with disabilities within a group environment.  They have adapted to enable them to continue to provide support in the form of virtual activities which are helping customers stay connected and less isolated using technology and Zoom.  The recent grant from the Suffolk Coronavirus Community Fund has really helped their disabled day service customers, enabling them to provide 10 tablets for 10 isolated customers who did not have the technology to access the online virtual activities.  These 10 customers are now taking part in daily virtual activities and are more importantly staying connected with others.  With this, they can continue to keep happy and healthy at home, both mentally and physically – giving them a social life with their friends within Papworth.

We want to take this opportunity to thank the supporters of the Suffolk Coronavirus Community Fund who without their support this would not have happened.
