Connecting causes that matter with people who care

We provide grants to help charities and community organisations who are supporting local people facing disadvantage, to improve their lives.

We do this by working with individuals, families, businesses, professional advisors, and charitable trusts, helping them to fund local groups that are tackling the issues they care about most.

Suffolk Refugee Sewing Group

We understand the vital role of Suffolk’s community groups and grassroots charities in making a difference in people’s lives.

We champion your organisation by connecting you with our donors and funds which will support you to be stronger.

Emmaus Sailmakers

The benefit of working with us is that we have the connections and experience to help you give to the issues you care about.

Every gift, large or small, makes a positive difference to individuals and to communities right here in Suffolk.

What we do

gatehouse lunch club

Our work is set against the current backdrop of rising levels of need in Suffolk, with an estimated 75,000 now living in poverty.

Partnering with the VCFSE sector demonstrates that the will in Suffolk to provide support remains undiminished.

Professional Advisors

We have the privilege of building long-term and trusted relationships with many professional advisors and their clients.

An advisor’s expertise, when combined with the Foundation’s deep knowledge of local need, continues to provide wonderful opportunities for those who care about Suffolk to realise their charitable ambitions locally.

We provide a range of options for private clients, including:

  • Legacies & gifts in wills
  • Transferring the burden of running a charitable fund
  • Creating a personal fund
  • Creating a memorial fund
  • Trust transfers

Congratulations to Professor Martin Carver who today became the 15th recipient of the prestigious Suffolk Medal.

Martin played an instrumental role in unveiling further secrets of Sutton Hoo, cementing its reputation as one of the richest archaeological finds in Northern Europe.

The medal was presented to Martin by Clare, Countess of Euston at the annual Suffolk Day launch event which, this year, took place in the beautifully sunny market square in Haverhill.
