50,000 Children Receiving Books

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve reached a milestone here in the UK, with over 50,000 children receiving books each month! As of the book order in April, we have 50,417 children registered and we couldn’t have done it without our affiliate partners, so a big thank you for getting books into the hands and hearts of so many children. Here’s to the next 50,000!

The last quarter has also seen two new schools, Forthview Primary in Edinburgh and Brookfield Park Primary in Lancashire and the Manchester Imagination Library for refugees and South Lanarkshire Family Nurse Partnership. In the south of England, Dorchester have joined us, kindly supported by the Hamilton Trust and in the east, Suffolk Community Foundation.

In-Person Conferences Return

UK Executive Director Marion and Regional Director Helen exhibited at the National Association of Virtual School Heads conference in March 2022. They dusted off the banners, tablecloth, and all the items needed for a conference after the two year absence and spent 2 days chatting with affiliate partners who are part of our programme for children in care in England. There was also the opportunity to talk with Virtual Schools who are not part of the Imagination Library and encourage them to join. Helen said, ‘it was brilliant to catch up with so many of our affiliate partners, and hear first hand of how valued and significant the books have been for children during the pandemic’.
