Suffolk Community Foundation would like to congratulate Clare, Countess of Euston, HM Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk, on her well-deserved award in the King`s Birthday Honours list. Lady Clare, a Patron of Suffolk Community Foundation, has been made a CVO (Commander of the Royal Victorian Order). We`re delighted that her hard work and commitment to the county has had such recognition.
It`s also lovely to see that many of the people receiving honours in Suffolk have been recognised for services to the community. 💜

Clare, from our Grants team and Rob, panel member for the Suffolk Sports fund, recently visited @ironislandltd in Bury St Edmunds. They went specifically to see the gym sessions for amputees that @steelbonesuk run, which received funding from the sports fund.
The participants enjoyed a range of exercises in the fully accessible gym with support from two personal trainers.
Steel Bones helps amputee families thrive, helped by a proactive supportive peer community. Steel Bones hosts regular social events for amputee families and engages in school workshops as well as publishing children’s books featuring amputee families in settings familiar to all readers, young and old.
What an inspirational visit, thank you for having us. 💜

Last week we hosted our annual Suffolk 100 event held at the @burnthousevineyard Founded over 10 years ago, Suffolk 100 is a giving circle where members give an annual donation to help us to respond to local need, and support charities that are helping people in Suffolk. It is vital for our core funding and enables us to develop new areas of work.
It was a very special evening, and we were thrilled to catch up with our current Suffolk 100 members and welcome some other guests interested in our work. Thank you so much to all who came along and a special thanks to @rbc and @birkettsllp who kindly sponsored the occasion.
