Schools Programme and Young Philanthropists

Inspiring the next generation of philanthropists

Philanthropy is usually a word we associate with the world of adults and rich people. Increasingly though, children from all backgrounds are participating in and learning about what it means to be philanthropic.

As well as helping those in need, the evidence shows getting children involved in philanthropy has positive effects for the children, their families and society more generally.

The Foundation is working with schools on an educational programme focused on developing social awareness, social conscience and the practice of giving. Our schools programme is kindly supported by the membership of our Suffolk 100

Our aim is to promote intelligent giving and to provide young people with the opportunity to discover and donate to inspiring local causes. At the same time offering students the opportunity to develop key skills in research, discussion, negotiation, decision-making and public speaking.
